Rights of the Data Subject
As a data subject, you have various rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These rights ensure that you are informed about the processing of your personal data and maintain control over it. You can contact us at any time using the contact details provided in the imprint to exercise your rights.
- Right of Access:
You have the right to request information at any time about whether and which personal data we process about you. Upon request, we will also provide information on the purpose of processing, the categories of data processed, any recipients, the planned storage period, and your other rights related to these data. - Right to Rectification:
If stored data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request immediate correction or completion. - Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”):
You may request the deletion of your personal data if one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies – for example, if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or if you have withdrawn your consent. This right does not apply if processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. - Right to Restriction of Processing:
You have the right to request restriction of processing of your data if you contest the accuracy of the data (for the duration of the verification), if the processing is unlawful and you request restriction instead of deletion, if the data are no longer needed for processing purposes but you need them to assert or defend legal claims, or if you have objected to the processing and it is not yet determined whether our legitimate grounds override yours. - Right to Data Portability:
You have the right to receive the personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to request transmission to another controller, as far as technically feasible and without affecting the rights of others. - Right to Object:
You can object to the processing of your personal data at any time if the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (public task or legitimate interest). In case of objection, we will no longer process your data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims. - Right to Withdraw Consent:
If processing of your data is based on your consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. - Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority:
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is usually the supervisory authority of your usual residence, your place of work, or the location of the alleged violation. - Right to Object to Profiling and Automated Decisions:
To the extent that your personal data are used for profiling or solely automated decisions that have legal effects or similarly significant impacts on you, you may object to the processing at any time. This specifically includes decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling. Upon request, processing of your personal data in these cases will be stopped unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Applications and Recruitment Procedures
Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG collects and processes personal data of applicants solely for the purpose of conducting the recruitment process. Processing may also occur electronically, especially if application documents are submitted via email or through a web form provided on our website. If an employment contract is concluded with an applicant, the submitted data will be stored for the purpose of managing the employment relationship in compliance with legal requirements. If no employment relationship is established, application documents will generally be automatically deleted twelve months after the rejection notice. Longer storage may occur if legitimate interests of Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG conflict with deletion. Such a legitimate interest may, for example, be the preservation of evidence in the event of proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
Use of Google Analytics
Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG uses the Google Analytics component in the career section of this website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Web analytics refers to the collection, compilation, and evaluation of data about the behavior of visitors on websites. This includes, among other things, information on which website a user came from (referrer), which subpages were accessed, as well as the frequency and duration of visits.
The purpose of using Google Analytics is to analyze visitor traffic on our website. Google uses the collected information to evaluate website usage, create online reports, and provide other services related to website use. For this purpose, Google Analytics sets a cookie. Cookies have been explained in more detail above. Each time a page containing Google Analytics is accessed, the browser automatically transmits certain data to Google. This includes, among other things, the IP address, the pages visited, the date and time of access, the duration of the visit, click paths, browser and device information, and referrer URLs. Additionally, demographic information such as age group, gender, or interest categories may be collected and transmitted to Google in the USA. Google stores this data on servers in the United States and may share it with third parties if necessary.
Data subjects can object to the setting of cookies by our website at any time, as described above, or prevent their setting through appropriate browser settings. Cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via the browser or other software solutions.

Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of personal data by Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG is carried out on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on the purpose of processing, we rely on different legal grounds:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR):
If you give us consent for a specific processing purpose, this consent forms the legal basis for the processing. - Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):
If processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you, as the data subject, are a party, or to take steps prior to entering into a contract, the processing is based on this legal ground. This applies, for example, to the delivery of goods or the provision of services. - Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR):
If we are legally required to process personal data, e.g., to fulfill tax obligations or other legal requirements, processing is carried out on this basis. - Vital interests (Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR):
In rare cases, processing may be necessary to protect the vital interests of a data subject or another natural person. An example would be the disclosure of relevant information to medical personnel in an emergency. - Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR):
If none of the aforementioned legal bases apply, processing may be carried out to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, provided the interests, rights, and fundamental freedoms of the data subject do not override them. A legitimate interest can, in particular, be assumed if the data subject is a customer or employee of Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG and we have a legitimate interest in conducting our business activities and ensuring the well-being of our employees (cf. Recital 47, sentence 2 GDPR).
Duration of Storage of Personal Data
Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG stores personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the respective processing purposes or as long as statutory retention periods require. Once the purpose of storage no longer applies or statutory retention periods expire, the data is regularly deleted or blocked, unless deletion is incompatible with legitimate interests, legal obligations, or the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Provision of Personal Data: Legal and Contractual Requirements
We inform you that providing personal data may, in part, be legally required, for example due to tax regulations, or may arise from contractual obligations, such as for the identification of a contractual partner.
In certain cases, it is also necessary for the conclusion or execution of a contract that you provide us with personal data. Without this information, it would not be possible to enter into a contract with Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG.
Before you provide personal data, you have the opportunity to contact one of our employees. They will inform you individually whether the provision of data is legally or contractually required, whether it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, and what consequences may result from not providing the data.
Objection to junk mails
We would like to point out that we explicitly object to using data in our internet offer for the unsolicited transmission of advertising and information materials. We explicitly reserve the rights to take legal action in case of the unsolicited transmission of advertising information via spam mails, for example.
